Correct, our resident Italian stallion gets it spot on. Shame on you, Slave, for knowing so little about your own country.

Not on the river no, but when I take the dogs for a walk in the morning I often walk alongside it.

Franco, you haven't been conned into buying one of those new development "executive apartments with a taste of riverside living" have you? You know, the ones that were touted as exclusive developments but look like student halls of residence and are located in the Premier Lodge car park? Oh, and I quite liked the sales spiel about the "two exclusive on-site restaurants" - a KFC and a Pizza Hut!

No, not Croydon (praise be to Allah).
It considers itself London, and it's roughly to the SW. It has a tram link. As for being leafy...the Whitgift Centre is a wonderful place and not at all full of chavs.

Unless, of course, you're posh and live in Fulham. In which case, your name is Thomas Leighton Marmaduke Pink III, and I claim my soiled £5.

Croydon's got the country's biggest Poundland so it's always a must visit destination for the Lucifers just before Christmas to do their present buying.

The bit of Croydon going out toward Brighton is posh. Ronnie Corbett and Dot from EastEnders live that way. Croydon did have an OK indie/alternative club once, I think it was called stairways
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Is that Purley or environs? I seem to recall driving out that way once and being quite surprised, thinking "oh, this is quite nice".
