There must be a point where it's more financially beneficial to be in a permie job than to wait months between contracts.

Fortunately most of my contracts have been so long I can easily change my CV to look like I've been a permie all along, should the worst happen. Though they probably bother to check references for permies, which may be a problem.

Anyway, not giving up yet. Got plenty of junk to sell on the car boot if I get really bored and skint.
