I just love watching the permies having to put in loads of effort writing and ammending this years really wooly targets and reviewing last years, then the look of dejection when they've obviously had the '<sucks breath through teeth> It's been a very tough year... we can only give you a 0.2% payrise......' conversation.

So glad I don't have to go through all that tulip anymore.

Awww the poor permies, how I hated annual appraisals, objective setting and the rest of the C.R.A.P that went with it.

I love it better when they say how wonderful the permies are - how indespensible - then give them 0.2%.

One chap 2 years ago was told he was top 3 coder among 120 - then ranked 3 out of 5 out of 5000!

Or they only talented permie who was told last year her bonus was to attend a course - she is about to go contract...
