            You know what, I take it back. I think there are far more words that keep the 'e' when adding the -ment suffix than dropping the e. My humble apologies.

                  Yep...I have one sat in front of me from India, and one next to me!

                  Their rates are probably crap, but £1 is equal to their 120 Rupees! So even £20 an hour means 19,200 Rupees a month! People in India with highly skilled jobs earn that in just over 3 years!

                  I think we are doomed!
