Won't cure your back, but the money will take your mind off it.Originally posted by lexington_spurs View Posta true contractor stuffs his mattress with wads of ££££££.Some people are like slinkys, totally pointless but the thought of pushing them down a flight of stairs never fails to put a smile on your face.Comment

My back is really bad at present, so thinking about it.....
Just wondering if it is a wise move, or not!

Tempur is stupidly hot - retains heat, just about bearable in winter - horrible in summer. I always wake up with backache on ours as well and I don't have a bad back - I've actually been getting a better nights sleep squashed in my daughter toddler bed with her while she has been poorly and lonely than I get on the Tempur!!Comment

I had a bad back - got a sleepezee brompton backcare mattress, 1000 pocket springs. It's bloomin marvellous, completely sorted all sleep discomfort. Not cheap though*.
A medium-firm mattress takes a bit of getting used to, but don't skimp on shoes or mattress/bed quality - as someone once said, you're in one or the other all day, every day.Last edited by realityhack; 17 March 2008, 23:50. Reason: *Actually - just checked prices & quite reasonable now, £250-300 kingsize.Comment
