Yes, you're right. I assumed it must be short for 40 million Euros, or 40 times some large power of ten. but following the link, it turns out the aid is to buy a bilge pump or bucket and spade or something (I don't have the page handy to check.)Originally posted by realityhack View Post

What on Earth is the point, other than a token gesture, unless perhaps they're dishing out literally tens of thousands of donations of a similar kind? But then the red spots on their map look a bit sparse for that.Comment
