The way your dad looked at it, this watch was your birthright. He'd be damned if any slopes gonna put their greasy yellow hands on his boy's birthright, so he hid it, in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ass. Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable piece of metal up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the watch to you
And the moral of this story is, never buy second hand watches....
Some people are like slinkys, totally pointless but the thought of pushing them down a flight of stairs never fails to put a smile on your face.

Come to think of it, TAG is a bit chavy/wanabee.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

I did have a TAG F1 but it looked to much like a kids watch so I upgraded to a Brietling Chronmat.

          That includes watches.

I don't wear wristbands, necklaces or any other cheap crap either. I wouldn't wear it if it cost 100 million dollars either...i hate jewellery and all that it stands for. It's a form of bragging, and that's not acceptable in this day and age.
your clearly no a contractor then are you??

I have three Tags a metal bracelet Formula 1 which I purchased after I got my first job.

a 1500 model Tag which was a 21st B'Day pressie, apparently it was a limited run model with a special face.

a 2000 model Tag Chrono with a Blue Face which was a gift

and most recently a Rolex Submariner with Blue Face always wanted it so I bought it. Like a previous poster says you really don't just buy a watch to tell the time it's how it looks otherwise you'd use your phone

No matter how many watches you buy for your/their looks, some people remain right mingers.

            HTH.

Agree Completely, you do have mobiles and laptops to know time but a watch(not just any watch) is class of its own. A quality watch is the quickest way of emitting a confident, successful image and send all permies go red. Anyone can purchase a bunch of inexpensive Timex watches (which by the way are great men's watches, especially for sports) throughout their life but what they should do instead is invest in one great timepiece that will last a lifetime.

                How true.

I worked with a bloke once who could (and indeed did) make a Saville Row suit look like a sack.

But come on - it's a bloody good laugh though.

Had to go to a meeting with some public sector drones for some business I really didn't want, but had to show up to.

I had just come back from 2 weeks in the sun, had a good new suit and wore a fairly ostentatious Rolex.

The abject hate on the faces of the pasty public-sector workers was a picture!

                    I refused the coffee!
