Well, the intention of the state is to extract as much from the contained populace as possible, and to do this they need to remain in power. So pretty much the same, but slightly different ordering on cause and effect.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostThe purpose of the state is to stay in power and then collect taxes whilst they're at it.

There is a revolution to these perversions of democracy and globilisation things happening out there in the real world. Or hadn't you noticed?Originally posted by PAH View PostI think it's about time we had a revolution. Shame there doesn't seem to be anyone with the ability to lead it now we're a nation of sheep. No wonder they keep fleecing us.Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

The only people this lot want to see locked up are the tax dodgers. Are they still locking up grannies for not paying the council tax? Some people are like slinkys, totally pointless but the thought of pushing them down a flight of stairs never fails to put a smile on your face.Comment

What a croc.
This topic was in the Metro this morning. Also said that people who steal less than £20,000 from their employers should be let off lightly too... £20 grand!! What kind of desperation is that? I'm desperate for a new Golf Sport Hatch?

A Telegraph article today said more and more entrepreneurs were enrolled in the Chinese parliament and are now practically taking over. It's _us_ ("we" for grammar nitpickers?) who are turning commie. Well not we personally (except perhaps sasguru), but as a country.Originally posted by PAH View PostObviously not, unless you mean the commies slowly taking over via China. [..]Comment

That's why I plan on buying an old oil platform when the oil finally runs out and setting up my own country in international waters. As long as the the legs are greased and the helipad has an opening hatch to dump intruders back into the sea, I'll be ok.Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it
