Whatever happened to Proper Mens' Hobbies like: -

    Allotment Gardening
    Amateur Radio
Banjo Playing (and other 'non-mainstream' instruments)
    Brass Bands (see above)
    Card Schools (and dominoes)
    Darts
Darkrooms (Don't give me this digital camera/Photoshop crap)
    Dinghy Sailing
Fishing (Sea, Coarse, Fly or otherwise)
Home Brewing (including home wine making, obviously)
    Kite Flying
Modeling (Railways, Boats, Cars, Planes, Anything etc.)
Rocket Building (probably banned under various terrorism acts)
Tinkering (with old bikes, cars, steam locomotives etc.)
Yachting (Dinghy sailing for the rich)
Zoophillia (includes the 'fancying' of pigeons, whippets etc.)

When men were real men, they had hobbies - now they have 'lifestyle choices'.

    Bah!

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

      Stop mucking about.

Go out and buy World of Warcraft.

It's the only hobby you really need.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I tried World of Warcraft a few years ago but realised that it is opposite of everything I want to be. A good laugh for a bit but diminishing returns.

Have been playing a bit of Call of Duty online. Is good fun and you can dip in and out for ten minutes or half an hour or so.

Spend enough time with computer though. I like getting out and about.

A man after my own heart. I knew you and I would get along when you replied to my thread regarding children, when you said I could get a nice 911 2.7 RS for the £180K it costs to raise a child until the age of 21.......

Tennis! Get to see overweight middle aged woman in short skirts sweat. Does it get much sweeter than that my friend.

Aye, I got that too. Cracking game. I've finished the story, and now I am experimenting with the online side of it, though with not much luck.

I see a server list, don't understand what all the different types are, click one, enter a game, headshot, dead.

If only there was a site which explained it. (There probably is, I just haven't found it).

I was quite enjoying ETQW online but don't have the time at the moment. I'm just occasionally dipping into DDO now.

My spare time is taken up with

                  World of Warcrack
Tinkering with cars. I'm currently working on a Supra MKiii, preping for the track having previously butchered a Probe 24v

I'm also hoping to do some more reading of technical books. hey I enjoy it , but I'm unsure as to what the market needs. The old MS stuff is almost defunt with the new MCP layout MS is pushing, but none of them are out yet that are applicable.
See that guy over there, working 24/6, that permie?
