No good. There's no cure for natural death.

Dear me, if I had even a stingy rate for every hour of my time I wasted on that game, I'd be supping a cold one on a sandy beach somewhere even now. 'Bye Gary, those were some fun times.

Hmmmm we could start a petition on the governments swanky petition site for a new national holiday called Gygax day!! A day where all contractors must be paid at least double time.

Only level 20 and above, please. Can't have the rookies getting these kind of abilities until they've earned enough XP.

'Tis a sad day indeed to see the passing of such an influential figure in the nerd niche of D&D.

I met Mr. Gygax at a Gencon convention, and he struck me as a witty, non-assuming individual, with a real passion for the genre.

I think I shall have to run a 1st Edition game in memoriam to his passing.

Rip Mr Gygax, and may you be reincarnated in Greyhawk. (Though not as a badger, obviously)
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

            A black armband day indeed.

Time to re-run Tomb of Horrors as a fitting tribute I think.

Or log into DDO and redo Delara's to hear him narrating it once more.

Ah, a blast from the past LB!

I DM'd this at school. Remember everyone singing:

                "Ding-dong the lich is dead
                Which old lich?
                The wicked lich"

                when they finished.
If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.

Yes, I played in it at school as well. Those were the days indeed, there were few to match Gygaz as the author of the deadliest dungeons in town. I recall we'd just done Expedition to the Barrier Peaks so we were all tooled up with blasters and grenades. We still died like dogs though.

Perhaps we could re-run it with only level 1-3 characters allowed? It's what Gygax would have wanted

Nah, Diana the Acrobat was a minx. Mind you, given the many Presto the Wizard lookalikes around at the time, fantasising about cartoon characters might be as good as it got. Probably true of this board's membership too.
