    ........
Like the "witch hunt" on MPs expenses?

If so - great they are both "witch hunts" directed against arrogant selfish scum who think they know better than the law and don't care about anyone else.

When they first changed the law it wasn't enforced so now they are just doing it a bit like drink driving.

I can't wait until they start sending some cyclists to jail for running over children or an OAP when they go through red lights or zebra crossings.

BTW the reason female cyclists are more likely to be killed is due to where they wait on the road at lights i.e. on the inside/blind spot of a vehicle.

Mobiles have no place in the drivers seat.

When I'm trucking my own mobile gets turned off. If the cab is fitted with a hands free then it gets used if the query is quick and only if its on the newer lorries where the phones are steering wheel controlled.

Don't start reaching for the answer button.

Jeremy Vine last week featured a lorry driver who'd taken his switched-off mobile out of his pocket and put it on the dash whilst driving. The police spotted him, and prosecuted him for using a mobile whilst driving. Apparently "using" includes holding, so even if the mobile is switched off you can still be done for using a mobile phone just by picking it up for a second.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

How did they reach that conclusion then ?

Thats nothing, my missus texts all the time, while we are sh@gging.
I got soooo angry that, never mind four years, I gave her the full four inches

I think you may have hit the proverbial nail squarely on the head there old boy.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

                      A bit broad-brush, but I don't disagree.

My point is included in my post of course. Cyclists = rubbish, rude, annoying, etc.
