      6. No advertising or marketing of any kind, including non-profit organisations, not even subtle stuff, ever. Please use your company name as a user name to identify yourself when offering unbiased, expert advice. We will not accept any "hard sell" on your services or products within those posts however. No URLs or sales spiel on sigs either.

      Apparently not.

I'm sure you can get these kinds of enterprises with local call handlers - do a search - use that groo, er, goolg, erm, yahoo.

Yeah, if it's good enough for Barclays it's not good enough for us.

I've tried a couple of plan B's over the years. Now I just stick to what I know and hope soon there will be stuff worth investing in, that offers a decent return, and isn't as risky as a trip to the casino.

My Plan B: Refer to Plan A.

I'm due to outsource a whole load of donkeywork to Get Friday, has nothing to do with customer service though.

I'd probably hire some nice sounding americans for that if they were cheaper than over here which they probably are.

Depends what you need them to do, I'm outsourcing research at the moment.

I'm going to call them and see if:

                  A. They can understand my business needs
                  B. I can understand a word they say.

I wonder if there is a similar service in some (cheap) American/Canadian backwater.

Actually I've just had an idea......thanks for the heads up by the way. The last thing I want to do is hire a permie UK bod. Never!

Get a bench-sitter to do it. £10 an hour is better than nowt.
