i see 3 diffrent agencies(non of them big agency names) posting the roles on job serve, but have never seen hays advertising any( this is up north - pudsey, halifax sites). I know it for the fact , since have spoken to all three of them. What are these playing at, cause they say they have fwded my CV but client has not come back- Do you think they r doing what they say or this is just hoarding CVsComment

Only thing I can suggest is your CV doesn't fit the role? Your experience sounds like it's very much a junior role, if that's the case then they won't touch you for a PM role, try talking about a Project Leader (their junior PM equivalent) role with the agencies. It may be that the agency thinks you are boxing above your weight? If she weighs the same as a duck, she's made of wood. And therefore a witch!Comment

Newbie indeed
Has it not occured to you that Hays might actually be looking for someone that has ALREADY worked for HBOS? Judging by the time it has taken you to work out what a preferred supplier is and that the other agencies maybe working on behalf of that preferred supplier (when it can't fill the reqs from their own db), I reckon you haven't got much chance.Comment

2. Get you CV sorted (read this & this)
3. learn the basics of contracting (here)
4. Hammer that killer CV out to pimps, try to discuss the role with them, follow them up
5. Never give up
Go for the project leader position, I've seen the role your looking at, it is a junior role, there's no reason why you shouldn't be in with a shout (banking experience is a preference, not mandatory).
Once you get a foot in the door, work hard, blag when you need to, produce results and be professional.... you'll never look back.Kneel before BodComment
