You have a way with words BM. And polarising opinion. But on balance you talk less carp than quite a few on here.

It is good. The best tactical level WWII computer game there is, as it should be being based on Squad Leader. Even better, it's free.

AtW is a Panzer General lightweight so I challenged him to a real man's game. He's checked it out and asked about tactics but not found time to have a game yet.

        Fancy a bash?

Is it a similar concept to C&C?

Who was it said of that he 'praised with faint damns' ?

            Was it Monty?

No - I can't play that one, tried again over holiday in November and all to no avail!

Anyway people, thanks for good words, I think once you see the angle of the market I am attacking you will see that I was not that deluded, the big release is next week but it might take a couple of weeks for the underground chatter to reach higher levels - one thing for sure though - this year I will ruffle some feathers, you will see

No, it's turn based and you buy your forces in advance with points, which is why it's great for email play. C&C (as I recall) is real time and build as you go.

Hmm. Sounds good - but I'd have to piddle around a bit on my own to get up to any reasonable level of competence.

I suspect you are already a master at it and only want to show me up

So how do you get the initial points to start to build your forces? is it so many to start with & then extra per turn... when you have accumulated enough you go to war?
