Were you permie in Holland? How did you find the environment compared to England. They love meetings in Holland unfortunately. Nobody can take a decision unless everybody, including the toilet cleaners and the birds passing by the windows, is in total agreement.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

Yes. He worked in Red Light District. Got fired after giving wrong answer on his pay review about where he sees himself in 5 years time.

They certainly do know how to drag things out.

The client I worked for in The Hague was a nightmare. It took almost a year to do what should have been a maximum of 3 months work. At first I thought it was just the one person being difficult, but like you say if anyone is unhappy on go the brakes until all are in agreement.

That would have been a great job as a contractor but I was a permie at the time. Had some great nights out though and fiddled the expenses to make up for it.

Was his name Hermang Hering, or Miloshevich? I'll give you £100 if it's Putin

Mcquiggd – you are not the only one who did this, unfortunately I dipped into permie land a couple of times, each time I end up kicking myself for doing it and wasting my time and effort like that… few years back I was saying, when I’ve paid for everything (Kids uni/house etc) and have a good sum of money, I’d take a little job locally and enjoy what’s left of my life… but now, am thinking no way, I really can’t see myself working for an employer ever again!!! *sigh* never say never, but if I ever come here and ask the board if I should take a permie job, please kick me hard!!

Your wisdom is astute, O Wise and Tall-Hatted One.

But no, it's not a damn patch.

                  Nope.

                  I'll give you 12 weeks.

6 months then they can sack you for no reason whatsoever and they've had a Contractor on the cheap for those 6 months which they probably would have renewed you for anyway.

Why aren't you looking at contracts in those two places just down the road from you who use a huge number of contractors?

I am, believe me, but Spring seem to have the bank sewn up, and they are hard to penetrate.

If you know of the agents for the other place, would be very grateful for a PM....
