Funny to think that a decade back the paranio for IT staff and especially contractors was that - no one will hire you when you are over 30.

Which just goes to show - dont believe the hype.

        When I were a lass

I'm too old for a paper round too young for a pension.

What that translates to is that I'm no spring chicken anymore.

But I am still a very long way off from wearing a pine overcoat.

I wasn't a sixties wild child, but I do remember when Heath was prime minister.

I also remember 2 shilling coins, 10 shilling and 1 pound notes and threepenny bits.

But I don't remember farthings though, or gramaphones. But I do remember playing vinyl disks on a record player and audio cassettes.

I can't text message very fast, and my immediate association with a Blackberry, when someone asked me if I knew what they were, is that it is a little fruit that looks like a black raspberry and makes excellent jam.

So that's how old I am.
