Yes, seems like a damp squib but I'm gonna fill up on Friday to be safe.

Didn't they use the last blockade as an exscuse to push through some new laws against such protests in the future?

They'd probably use the 'anti-terrorism' laws in some form if it goes on too long.

Hmm. Are you old enough to remember the Miners Strike?

They really, really, do not give a toss.

You need someone like Thatcher to survive such a strike - Brown would panic pretty soon, cracks already appearing - would be fun if he gets backstabbed by his own party.

They're dual fuel, so you can still put petrol in one tank, just in case.

Direct action can work, see the poll tax, see the suffragette movement, infact I can't think of any significant political change in history that isn't the result of some sort of direct action. The pretence that is Democracy, is a smokescreen for the benefit of those who bestow it's virtues and reap it's corrupt benefits.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
