    The difference is...

    even if there is (and will very likely be) a recession round the corner, interest rates will go down to try and revive it. Same as the U.S., better to be able to choose what to do than be dictated by others, more or, even less, fortunate.
    Different ailments require different medicines, not same.
    Housing market will be affected by the lack of money supply, hence fewer buyers at the middle/lower end.
