Hang on - I thought it was all about devolution these days. In which case, stick the union flag up your hoop and use your respective countries flag.

Incidentally, the scottish flag should be redesigned to incorporate at least a bit of England. This could represent all the English taxpayers money being spent north of the border on free prescriptions and council tax freezes etc etc etc...

    Older and ...well, just older!!

I'm now informed that at the time of Union Wales, having already been annexed, was legally part of the Kingdom of England and so is represented by the English bit of the flag.

So, the flag's made up of Scotland, N. Ireland and England (incl Wales).

Maybe we could keep the same pattern but have it dragon-shaped?

Or maybe we could tell the PC numpties who have to constantly fiddle with everything to "make it fair" to feck orf.

The Union Jack is the Union Jack, deal with it. you have red on there that could represent the dragon. If you stick a bloody great dragon over the top it will be a welsh flag with a bit of other colour in the background not a union jack. Since when has wales been the economic and political giant in the union making it deserving of the majority of the flag space for it's own emblem????

Shouldn't it be called the Union Flag?

The Union Jack is the seafaring version, although I don't know what the difference is.

Wales is a principality of England so there is no need for it to be on the flag.

Indeed it should be the Union Flag (or The Flag of the Union).

There is a slight difference to the naval one, but I can't be bothered to wikipedia it to find out.
