You forget with companies like EDS can't just type something in it has to be planned by a lot of "consultants" and done differently to the plan so the data is not what the NAO wants so it has to be done again, and the company gets more money for the change request.

BTW did you make a donation to Nu Labour when you decided to bid for your Child Support System.

Is it very expensive to extract the data to disk omitting bank details?
Gimme half an hour (oops sorry, as a contractor I should say a full day), and I'd not only do it, but test it too.

100K please. And for that price it would come fully documented.

I guess all this means HMRC will understand if I lose my self assessment form, oh silly me incompetence is only allowed one way isn't it? When they do it please accept their apologies without any real punishment, when an individual does it, here's your fine, no excuses will be accepted. Do as I say... etc.

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

I've just mentioned that price here, and the client told me that a couple of months back, they were quoted £40k to add another column to a report.

              Not EDS that time, though.

The really sad thing about this is that they forced people who know how to do it properly out of the country.

Someone who has the expertise to put a proper system in place should be allowed to move on to the next project as soon as it's done, maybe attend expensive seminars all over the world without the crap of IR35 saying that training expenses aren't allowed, or as IR35 first started out, you aren't even allowed travel and overnight expenses.

The chickens have come home to roost, and it's sad.

Yes, IR35 is to blame but that is only one link in the chain. Ask who pushed for IR35: EDS, who implimented it: Nu Liebor...

It wasn't just EDS. The only person who has ever physically assaulted me at work was to become a government minister.

I thought little of it at the time, but in hindsight I should have filed an official complaint with the plod.
