No, it's not the same - it is reasonable a recruitment agency to do recruiting, rather than anything else remotely linked to the original business they are in.

Right now big banks do their best to undermine world economy with their speculative efforts. Say what good purpose serves ability of hedge funds to "short" stocks to cause artificial share value decline? They should be put into prison for market manipulation and there I hope they would get a chance to do an honest day at work.

First, hedge funds are not banks. Second, anyone, including individual investors, has the ability to short stocks.

And who gives money to those hedge funds? Of course they are not banks - banks prefer to have these surrogate structures that they finance to stay off the regulators to do what they do.

Individual investors (usually) don't have the volume necessary that can influence market, but hedge funds do have the scale to do that and they do it - in effect they manipulate market to the detriment of normal non-speculative investors. Market manipulation should lead to a long jail sentence.

I wonder how much they'd make if they asked the people of this country for help?

I'd give them a fair bit. After all - I (like hundreds of thousands of others) wouldn't be on the property ladder if it wasn't for them.
                  I'm massively thankful of them.

And really, so should everyone be who's currently sitting on a stupidly over priced house!

They're a masive part of my roots too - I know a load of people who work for them, and they've given loads to the North East through various schemes and sponsorships.

I wish the country was made up of people who could see this good, rather than the utter feckless t*ssers who queued up to get their cash out.

Has no one seen Its A Wonderful Life ffs?!!!

I wish they'd ask for help - I'd gladly offer.

Wait until property bubble blows, make sure you have got headphones (I am buying them today) as otherwise you might bleed from your ears from concussion.

I'd like to add a big thank you to our brave recruitment agents, double glazing salesmen, second hard car dealers et al, where would we be without them?

I'd happily give them my money should they ever need it
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”
