LB thanks for the tip re putting stock in the pan and the kind of beef steak to buy – I love cooking and like to share tips… actually sometimes I spend the whole weekend cooking all kind of dishes and freezing them, last time I forgot to label them :lol , so this week when getting things to eat its a surprise !!

Sorry, mate, that's not correct. While eating anything to excess is unhealthy, a small quantity of red meat in the diet is very beneficial in aiding the absorption of iron.

I was thinking more of the folks who eat extra meat instead of potatoes, pasta, or rice. If you were adopting that approach, chicken or fish would be probably be a better bet.

Fillet steak should be cut into extremely thin slices, chilled and eaten raw with a hot pepper or Horseradish dip and bean sprout salad.
