Did anybody see Samuel L Jackson on Jonathon Ross reading out the lyrics to Shaddupa ya face? Most amusing
/"See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

We walked in the cold air,
Freezing breath on a window pane,
Lying and waiting,
A man in the dark in a picture frame,
So mystic and soulful,
A voice reaching out in a piercing cry,
It stays with you until,
The feeling is gone,
Only you and I,
It means nothing to me,
This means nothing to me,
Oh Vienna.
The music is weaving,
Hunting notes, pizzicato strings,
The rhythm is calling,
Alone in the night as the daylight brings,
A cool empty silence,
The warmth of your hand and a cold grey sky,
It fades to the distance,
The image is gone,
Only you and I,
It means nothing to me,
This means nothing to me,
Oh Vienna.
This means nothing to me,
This means nothing to me,
Oh Vienna.
Can anyone else here think of a song that has the word pizzicato in its lyrics? Genius.Last edited by chasingtheaurora; 26 October 2007, 09:36.Have patience. In time, even grass becomes milk.Comment

This all makes for nice reading... but
does anyone have any experience of working there?
Possible opportunity would you believe."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

That was the oddest experience - or maybe I've just had too much of Gee's Linctus - I thought Craig the polygamist was backComment

Stayed in the Renaissance. Pleasant enough surroundings. Didn't get much chance to look around, but I remember it being expensive.
Major European bank has it's Group IT there - they have a big yellow logo. If the job is there, PM me and I'll share some useful info with you."See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."Comment

While we were there we also went to the Cologne christmas market. It was identical to the Frankfurt one.
Some people take three, four or five day coach tours around these places. I think they are certifiable.

Vienna is not bad actually, I've been down a few times to put systems in there and quite enjoyed myself even though I didn't get to see too much of the city. The only real drawback I had was the Austrian dialect which can sometimes be a little bit difficult to understand:
i hab ma denkt
i kimm ge heut

i brauchat wen

wen der mi hålt
wen den i g'spür

und die nåcht is no' jung
nur der wind in de bam

aber i kimm ma vor als wir a diab

und wanns finster wird
is's aloan a nit so schön wia zu zweit
i wüll di' gspür'n
i wüll di' lieb'n
i wüll di' håb'n
i wüll di' krieg'n
i wüll di' gånz
