Have you got a place?Originally posted by Cooperinliverp00l View PostI do sometime feel bad which is why i'm now in training for the London Marathan.
If you fancy running it and raising money for diabetes research, I may be able to get a spot.Comment

Not looked at how to apply or anything yet...like i said i need to first start doing some running then i will look at applying and getting a place with a charity.....next big concern is who to run for as there are so many ?? Can you pick your own charity or does it normally have to be on a certain list ?? i know you have to raise so much to enterOriginally posted by TheFaQQer View PostHave you got a place?

I wear a poppy.
My cars have poppy stickers. new ones every year.
I also donate a fixed amount every month to the central masonic charity which is second only to the National Lottery in the amount it gives to good causes.Comment

You don't have to run it for charity, you can apply yourself. But the applications process for London is harder than (for example) Boston, which is just first come, first served I think.Originally posted by Cooperinliverp00l View PostNot looked at how to apply or anything yet...like i said i need to first start doing some running then i will look at applying and getting a place with a charity.....next big concern is who to run for as there are so many ?? The organizers typically give a number of places to charities that ask for them, and then it's up to the charity to give them out. I used to work closely with a diabetes research charity (my sister and mum are diabetic), and they get a load each year, but ask each runner to try and make £1500 in sponsorship. I don't know how many places other charities get, or whether they ask for a minimum to do it.Comment
