Interesting. Opened my old CV added a space and it jumped from circa 40K to 120K. Turned then thumbnail option off and saved as 2003 format but it still over the hundred.

Space is big. And there's aliens hiding in it...

Hmmm 20 jobs in 10 years seems a tad high - is your work specialised so only short contracts?

Just checked mine going back 10 years = 11 jobs (inc 1 x 3 month when I turned the extension down)

What are the other oldies 10 year average?

The suggestion to copy-n-paste into a new Word doc is sensible. The amount of poo that accumulates "behind the scenes" in Word when you edit is silly. I had the same problem, and, by copying into a new doc, got it down from over 100k to 43k. Also, ensure that you don't unknowingly save the edit history, or whatever it's called, in your docs - it takes up space and you may be revealing stuff you want kept away from Agents' eyes.

I had a problem with this because I use Open Office at home. For some reason when you save in Word format from there my CV is about 150k but opening the file in Word and saving again it comes out at about 70k.

Also if you save it in ODF its 11k
