This is not strictly true. Your decisions in life play some part in your success, but your genetic make-up along with the environment you're brought up in probably play an equally important part.

Put another way, an intellectually challenged person growing up in a council estate with two druggie "parents" is unlikely ever to have the good fortune of being a doctor/dentist/lawyer/tax advisor/corgi gas fitter/city type.

Consider yourself lucky, if only to a degree.

You'll find Mr koont has never had to do a real/hard job in his life, he probably thinks his job is complex and worth what he is being paid
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

That's what you do, i.e. a subordinate role. If only things had turned out better for you!
