The PC term that he should have been using was coloured....
Although it has to be said that coloured would probably be a better description for us white people.
We go Red when embarressed
We go Blue when we get cold
We go Brown after staying in the sun for a bit.
We go Red after staying in the sun for too long.
We go Purple/Yellow/Black/Brown when bruised.
We go an even paler shade of white when we feel sick.

"Take race. When a white person is ill, they look green, when angry red, when cold blue, when tired grey and when rich tanned. So why was it in the 70s and 80s in Britain that black people were so often called ‘coloured’? Surely whites are more worthy of the term, in its most colourful sense."
On October 30 Silvio Berlusconi announced that the Italian government would withdraw Buttiglione from the nomination, keeping him in his office of minister in the Italian government; however, he did not mention who would be the Italian candidate to be a member of the European Commission.
"The new soft totalitarianism that is advancing on the left wants to have a state religion It is an atheist, nihilistic religion - but it is a religion that is obligatory for all" complained Buttiglione in subsequent comments.
I remember Mandy on the BBC after, as smug as ever, telling the interviewer how they needed to find the "right" candidate.

I didn't actually, when I was younger a girl I knew read me a poem along those lines which was actually quite good.
As an aside - I think this goes way deeper than race. It's a political ideology that has us cornered and IMHO compromises free speech. I said this to a mate of mine recently and he said everyone has the right to say whatever they want - I said something about 'they also have the freedom to watch their political (or otherwise) careers crumble around them, but I don't think they'll do that, do you?'
Now if I suggest in open conversation that I think Islamism is a political force (as opposed to a free religious movement - making the distinction between Islamist and Muslim) that's infringing on our secular values here in the UK, and give examples of this happening, or that I don't believe it's right for the police to withold crime figures that over-represent particular demographics for particular crime-types, or refuse point-blank (real example here) to create an e-card for Christmas reading 'happy holidays' as it might offend non-Christians, asking the director in the process if we're going to re-name Diwali and Ramadan as well - I'm flamed for being politically incorrect and frowned upon...
When all I'm doing is stating what I believe to be right. I've never thought of myself as right-wing, just realistic.
