"How does that work? Does it stroke your ear or something?"
No that nice Mr Fry reads it out.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

HP and the 'blind' followers
Without wishing to cause offence to any blind readers, all HP fans are blindly following where JKR wants to take them. Harry Potter has become like Star Wars or Lord of the Rings or whatever with a dedicated group of fanatic followers and a bemused rest of the world. Mind you, that JKR has really milked the (thin) plot to extract as much money as she could. I appreciate she had a hard life eralier on, but why the **** should we suffer for it? Lastly, I look at the authors, not just the books if I want to pass judgement. Verne and Herge were geniuses during their time, but to non-French speakers they mean nothing. One of my favourite authors is Frederic Forsyth, now his knowledge is f'n awesome - whenever he is on a panel, it is a joy to listen to him and not because I just happen to agree with his views.
Whenever I listen to her, she is so boring (like her books, you may say!)Comment

I don't like the books - never read them but I don't think I am suffering from her success.
All I know is that my son reads more than I do when I was his age and not just harry potter books.Comment

I know I am going to get a pasteing for this - but I like the books and I saw the film last night and I liked that too!!

We can all criticise her but she has made a lot of money and a lot of fans from her books..well done to her I say...Comment

I agree. The fact that she has got kids reading should be a good thing. So some adults choose to read the books - that says more about those adults than the author.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
