I wouldn't trust em' I had a British gas engineer condemn a boiler because the flue didn't go straight up out of the roof, he disconnected it and buggered off.
Don't confuse CORGI inspectors for the muppets that do the leg work for British Gas, they are a completely different. I saw some pretty horrific cases where British Gas' workers made some real schoolboy cock ups that could have been fatal...
Bear in mind that a large proportion of British Gas' "Engineers" are actually sub-contracted one man bands.
Because it's not legal. Also doesn't believe I could do it competently. In the case of the wall stuff, she is right.
Theres nothing illegal about installing electrical cables - the wiring regulations are not the law and in any case all they require is competance and if you follow the regulations it will be a proper job - if it is against the law then my 11 year old has broken it as he helpded me install a new ring main to the bedroom.
