Minister for the Olympics and London and South East
The Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP
Why does the "South East" get a minister? What's so special about the shandy drinkers that they get their own minister???

Or is it punishment - nowhere else gets one; you get Tessa Jowell?

No, other (less populated) parts of the country get their own parliament, just for being ethnically diverse.

The least we can get is a minister...

No idea what she does - I had to type her name into Google to find out!! Even then, I have no idea what "Paymaster General" does, apart from give dodgy loans to Peter Mandleson.
Given the origins of the board (IR35 and all that) I find it amazing that it now seems to be populated by individuals who don't know who Primarolo is or what the PMG does. FFS!

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Ah, now I see what she does. I've never cared who was Paymaster General when IR35 was brought in, to be honest.

However, good old Wikipedia has told me more than enough about her.

We seem to get the worst of both worlds. We get a PM imposed as party leader, but when somebody crosses the floor they get to stay as an MP.
