One I can never get too loud in the headphones is Out On The Tiles by Led Zep - the one that goes "All I need from you... is all your love". But the really good bit is the second half of the song where it just goes into the guitar and bass riff with the drums soloing like mad all around, sort of the reverse of a normal guitar solo section.

Another oldie which is perfect for late night and headphones is Roy Harper's album Stormcock. Anyone know it? Only four tracks and all acoustic, which sounds like a nightmare, but it's completely spellbinding. One of the greatest albums ever made, end of.

More up to date would be Trans-Global Underground - what they call "Ethno-Techno", mixture of ethnic percussion and instruments with techo sounds and samples. When they get it right, which is most the time, it's unbeatable. Went to see them a couple of weeks ago and they bring the house down every time. Magnificent.

Good one LMI - altough the song' Something' was declared by Sinatra as the greatest Love song ever written by the Beatles.

Unfortunately he also mentioned that is was written by Lennon/McCartney - not true as it was composed by George Harrison.

As for moi in this category I would elect Edith Piaf - 'Je regrette rien' ...

Under The Bridge by the Chillies is a classic. You need to listen to it now and again to remember how good it is (Most people think of that god awful version by All Saints)
