The River Ouse seems to love it. Any excuse to burst it's banks, and it's 'wahey, look at me everybody'....

Oh yes, it is "some" sort of whale. Google (pictures) "whale swimming pool". Scroll down and you will guess which one it is.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Just had a walk into York (i'm now soaked right through) and the Kings Arms is still alive and well. I think I'll be a one bar man tonight (and not the Kings Arms)

              where like like?
I remember the good old days of this site when people used to moan about serious contractor related issues like house prices and immigration. How times have changed!?

Get the 07:20 from Newcastle every Monday.

Been to most bars and there are some gems. Mind I went to one bar in the centre last week (just a few minutes walk from the hotel you mentioned earlier) and all the blokes were dressed as women. I didn't realsise at first. I just thought they were ugly women.

I thought that kind of thing happened in Brighton.

If it was Reflex, then they probably were just really ugly women

Why do you stay over all week? Its only an hour away!

Its an hour from Central Station plus a twenty minute walk. In all its 2 hours each way door to door (i.e. 20 hours a week commuting, and only then if I time it right). Whereas I can stay in digs and take a 5 minute stroll into work. After work I can take a 5 minute stroll into the pub. I often go home on Wednesdays though.

Also (and this may be easier for a bloke than a woman) - I like making new local bars and meeting different people. Oh and sometimes you get lucky.
