Name dropping an MCSE into a conversation just to show up a PC world employee is a pretty knobby thing to do in my opinion, to be honest, yes the staff are pretty low standard in that place, but at least they DO try to help you. And I imagine for every 1000 people that walk through the door knowing sod all about computers theres probably one IT professional who knows what their talking about.

I visit PC world quite regularly because I have a business account with them and to be honest I'm well happy with the service, I can pop to Lakeside retail park which is about 5mins from my door, walk up to a business rep tell them what I want and get shed loads of money off, I got about £100 of my MacBook, I get books cheaper, digital cameras, etc etc

No the address bit is for when numpties need to take stuff back but forget the reciept, lots of shops do it. There might be a bit of direct marketing involved too but to be honest all I have had through the post is a PC World catalouge big wow!

MS doesn’t care about braindumps as the Learning business for them is $$$$$$. They have now 50 new certs which means tons more $$$$$$.

Btw if anyone hasn't understood why MS GUI is such a ambigous tulipie , it is because of, well the Learning business.
Anyone can be a 'paper' MCSE if they're good at remembering lots of things from a book. Putting it into practice without having to 'google the answer' is another.

'Paper' MSCEs soon reveal themselves as those who can't put the theory into practice. At my last gig, we had a contractor who reckoned he had an MCSE but refused to setup a RIS server as he'd 'never actually worked on a server'!

I agree there are MCSEs and MCSEs.

However, It seems to me that MCSE and all Win administration as a whole , doesn’t pay very generously with contractors. I thought MCSEs etc would give me a good start as a contractor , but it turns you need to be specialized to get the big bucks

                    I concur with dotnetter.

Kyajae, you're a twat of the first order. The guy was trying to help. You only had to be polite.

As far as "PC World" is concerned, it's an ideal place if you want something "NOW".

Yep, PC World is ideal if you need something ASAP.

I must be lucky, whenever I have been in there, I have never been hassled by sales staff.
