Eat, drink, smoke & fornicate to your hearts desire...for tomorrow we die
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Yeah but he might have drank like a fish and ate bad diet after he retired, plus you can't change you're genes.

Apparently, most of us are already programmed from birth. Take away the usual number of accidents and catching something nasty and the rest are on a timetable determined by their genes. You can adjust things a bit and maybe maintain a better quality of life, fitness wise and occasional medicine helps - e.g. heart bypass might give you 5 years you wouldn't have had 20 years ago.
People are living longer with better nutrition, eradication of certain killer diseases but better infant care and other life-saving techniques is pushing the averages up on their own - ever been to a cemetry, people who got to 80 are still in very short supply.
Myself - Judging on family history, if I am lucky 3score and 10 will be my lot and anything else will be a bonus therefore retiring at 55 !!

Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize - we're floating in space -
Do You Realize - that happiness makes you cry
Do You Realize - that everyone you know someday will die

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

What are you talking about? He was a great manager. I can clearly remember him screwing up stoke city good and proper. Gets him full marks in my book.

Well, from what I remember, Alan Ball delighted in winding up the opposition, none more so than Scotland (at that time England v Scotland was still an annual, antagonistic event). He once scored the winner at Hampden too.

I'm sure that the Scots, both on the pitch and in the stands, would have reciprocated. Apparently, Tommy Gemmill used to chase Ball around just so he could kick him.

I'm not sure what the Scots made of Moore.
