      Freaky,

'Don't worry mate, I'm sure someone will post about politics or mortgages soon... ',

      less of it

Gent's my only worry is that having this kind of vocabulary in the thread titles will attract the riff-raff and there's enough mortgagee's here as it is

      Milan.

Actually I agree with Milan - the tone really has been lowered just lately

You could simply move 9 of the threads here into LR and be done with it. I don't think it's the quality of the board as a whole, just the positioning of some of the topics. Also - we've had a glut of low-brow content lately and not enough of the old-timers posting... so it seems out of proportion.

Some of this is just us blowing off steam while bored/stressed/fed up at work - no harm intended.

i agree wholeheartedly milan. i have moved them this time. any more appearing here will simply be deleted, mainly on the grounds of minimising my button clicks.

Looks like your wish is granted. The rather good celebrity boffing thread just vanished and a few others moved to LR.

and not enough of the old-timers posting
Essentially because Milan is right, and whilst I can't speak for anyone else, the level of jocularity has taken a turn for the worst, and is now just pure filth which I find offensive and banal.

There really does appear to be a concerted effort by a small minority to ruin the board and drive long-term members away, and I'm sorry to say that it appears they are being successful.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

When you have more time next week, would you mind undeleting the celebrity thread and moving it to Light Relief ? Then at least those of us not having an attack of piousness can continue to be amused by it.

                      Cheers.
