My mates has got one of those 300C's and i have to say its tulip!

If you want something really nice then wait for the Audi A5 which is due out in June but they are taking orders now.

Im personally saving up for a cash payment for an Audi A4 convertible for teh summer.
I had a saab convertible until last Septermber. Then little one came along so traded it in for a 3 year, 20K miles, Saab 93 Aero Saloon. Will never buy a new car - not worth it. Let somone else take the initial deprec. hit.
Before buying the Saab I did consider the mercs, bmw, lexus and audis. Mercs customer service is poor. BMWs are everywhere. The 3 series now out sells the ford mondeo. Lexus was a bit too small and the audi was just too expensive. Only use the car at the weekend.

I wouldn't touch a Chrysler 300c, not in England. I've tried it and it is a gawd awful car to drive. Here's a couple I discovered: instead of flooring it as you set off, try taking off as if from the lights like you were behind a truck, i.e. just a little bit of throttle: it's on kangaroo juice! Take your hands off the steering and feel how it decides now is time for a right turn!

Yet, if you insist on buying one: suggest you check everything electrical, even the radio, if there is the slightest thing wrong, walk away and you should try all the gears and force down shifts from each, if there is the slightest thing wrong, walk away.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.
threadeds website, and here's my blog.

Mind you a brand new Golf GTI can be had for £18,000. I like them

Get real. Youd rather buy a piece of American tulipe than a Golf GTI? Mate of mine has the Golf and I've driven it. Brilliant - although not rear wheel drive.
Also if you have a sprog it's practircal enough
            Hard Brexit now!

              Aye he speaks the truth.

I've never driven the GTI model myself but i have driven the GTi "30th Edition" which is slightly faster with 225BHP and alot more extras as standard. It was seriously fast and really responsive.

For a brand new one i was quoted £21,950 and they wouldnt budge with the price even though i said i would pay cash for it.

2nd hand one with around 5k - 10k miles can be had for around £18k. I was looking at a 55 Reg GTi with full spec and even extra interior finishes for £16,500. It had 13,000 miles on the clock. The interior on the GTi's is very much like the new TT's with the crome finished buttons and nobs etc.

One thing that dissapoints me is the fuel consumption. 13mpg around the town

On the plus side the Golf GTi shares the same chassi as the new TT so it is german quality!
