Do the women train any less than the men? Just because they are not as physically strong or have the endurance of the men I don’t see why they should be treated as second class, and the 5 set thing is a bit misleading as the time on court is not that different due to more rallies and less points being won on serve.

Both men and women play to their individual maximum ability and dedication towards the sport, Therefore need to be rewarded equally.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

      This realy annoys me.
Women want equality, which I totaly agree with, but they never want to do the hard bit that accounts for the difference in the first place.

Why not just have one Wimbledon champion and let them all play for it? If women are equal then surely they can win it?
There is a bloody difference and they should accept it.
Same with those dinner ladies getting back pay in equality with bin men. Who the fook decided that they were equal jobs?
      Political correctness gone mad. AGAIN.
hear hear. lets give it to the girl with the biggest tits.

You are saying that women are not equal then? Chauvanist.

There are other men who train just as hard and play to their maximum ability who will never be champion, but some could beat the best women. Why should they miss out on the money just because they are men?

Women are forever asking to be treated equaly. I am proposing that we do just that. There should be no sop paid to women at all. If they want to get the wages then they have to compete.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Off course they are not physically equal but should that be a reason to be treated differently? If we go down the route you propose there would be no women’s tennis at all and the girlies could just go back to the kitchen eh?... oh please.

No mate. What I am saying is we stop with this "women are equal" tulip and accept that there are differences in the sexes.

Celebrate those differences instead of chasing this ridiculous equality ideal. These women are asking to be treated as equals when clearly they are not.
Neither are dinner ladies doing an equal job to bin men, but to be PC we have to say they are.

I will now propose a reason why women should be paid as much as the men at Wimbledon that you could have used instead of bleeting on about equality and tulip.
            Money.
The womens games are as popular as the mens. They generate an equal amount of revenue for the tournament and should therefore be given an equal share. However I would guess that were it a men only comp people would still pay the same. There would still be a market for the womens game.

When men and women are in equal competition I am happy that they recieve equal reward, what I am not happy with is the sweeping equality statement for all occasions.

LG, stop being so fecking stupid.

Men and women are different, so they should have seperate competitions. But they both play entertining tennis, so they should both get paid equally.

Most people prefer women's tennis anyway!

No, that is a reason to treat them the same. Make the lazy cows play best of 5 if they want the same money.

Not what is being said at all. Try reading the reply properly.

I prefer watching the women. The tennis is secondary

Did you? I just thought you were babbling on about how women shouldn't be paid the same. And then babbled some more on how we're supposed to say dinner ladies are the same as bin men etc.

                      Did I mention babble?
