This is bad bad news. Cheerio Fleety. You were a good crack. I never even knew you were called Daniel Green, and I'd never have imagined you having that dodgy hair of yours! One things for sure - the spelling and grammar in this place will go to fuck.
Obviously i never knew this person.. but death is the biggest leveller and reminds us all of our short existance and hold those ones close to us and remember... My sincerest sympathies go out to the family of Fleetwood...
Well I know that Fleet would have been the first to spot that reference to Hendrix's Voodoo Chile - and I know he would have appreciated a little lyric from Mr David Bowie - as he was a big fan of the Thin White Duke.
I know he adored Hunky Dory - so Fleet I know you're up there listening - here is Quicksand - and as the Duke says - knowledge comes with Death's release.
Shine On Fleet.
I'm torn between the light and dark
Where others see their targets
Divine symmetry
Should I kiss the viper's fang
Or herald loud
the death of Man
I'm sinking in the quicksand
of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore
Don't believe in yourself
Don't deceive with belief
Knowledge comes
with Death's release
