      Come to think of it, I haven't seen an Indian lady with the dot on her forehead for sometime.

      Has it gone out of fashion?

        I think they are mainly worn for special occasions now days. The older generation will wear them all the time. Younger ones will have various different things in place or the red dot, but it signifies the same thing
