There's a similar roundabout in Colchester. I stayed in a B&B next to it when contracting there a few years ago, and would regularly hear crashes on it!

I've found on my travels that various towns have those bloody things.

Luckily only 2/3 cars can wait at the majority of the entrances most people are patient.
