    We have a contractor here who behaves in the exact same fashion as the permie scum you are describing. To the point where he changes the headers on documentation others have produced to his name.
    Oh well, sure there are exceptions (I am sure also that there might be some decent managers too - not that I have ever seen any though).

                Not generally, but some people enjoy it. It is a game.

                Look on the bright side. Your role in the game is to feck them up. Which is fun! There's nothing like a well-planned manouvre bringing someone like this crashing down, however temporarily!
