I tried to get into NZ before I hit 40 but, due to a lack of a degree, I didn't have enough points. After doing a proper recce trip, I realised it was probably a good thing as it's a bit too quiet for me. At the time I didn't fancy Australia but, having now been there, I should have investigated that more closely. Too late now
