Elduder, why don't you get back with your Christian g/f, I have a feeling you are depressed cuz you have split up with her... if she is not hassling you to convert and accepting you as you are, perhaps you should accet her too..I have a feeling you spirit will improve if you are back with her, if not as a bf then as a friend, you need someone now.

Day 2 - Progress Status Update
No fags today, and no NRT either (although I do have patches if I really need to use them), so no nicotine at all.
Found it harder than yesterday, to be honest. I think I had some nicotine inside me keeping me going from the day before when I had a pack of 10. Nearly weakened and went out to buy another pack of 10 like I did on Sunday (after not smoking on Saturday or Monday) but forced myself not to. Ate lots of sweets today to keep my mouth occupied but I won't keep that up for long
It's those unexpected pangs that get to me - they pounce on you when you least expect it. That little voice in my head saying, it's time for a fag, just like normal, as a reward for completing some tedious little task. Then the awful realisation that I am no longer a smoker and have no fags in the house followed by that 'another pack of 10 won't hurt, after all I've done so well up to now cutting down and not smoking yesterday, then I'll give up for good.' Now I have to imagine that 'demon voice' is a spider luring me to it's web of hopelessness and dependency on nicotine and crush it underfoot like a used butt.
It's over 48 hours now since I smoked or took NRT, therefore all the nicotine should be out of my body now.
I hope tomorrow is easier than today.Last edited by Denny; 9 January 2007, 23:20.Comment

Then you can constantly moan about how horrible the world is and how nobody understands you. Then once fully initiated you get to score with all the hot dirty goth chicks!!!

Amen to that Ardesco !Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
