I would say that it's a big minus point, even if you dress it up by reclaiming it, rather than having them pay it. It shows a lack of 'risk' on your part.Originally posted by SandyDownno not working from home, from the midlands.
btw: they are offering me to claim all expenses i.e. travel and if I need to stay in a hotel (which I'd expect is going to happen at least a couole of nights a week)- how does this affect my contract/ IR35??

Well done. Don't do what ive just done though at the last works day team meeting.
MD sees a couple of us playing table football. Comes over and offers to play the winner. The whole room stops to watch us play. Other directors, all the managers. In the back ground I can see the sales manager shaking his head laughing. He knows whats coming next.
10-0 to MF. MD is gutted. ' I have one of these at home I'm quite good' He says. Actually he was quite good.
'Oh unlucky' Says I 'Oh by the way I used to be ranked 40 in the country at this'

Sort of a similar line to what I did once (well similar as in no way connected).
Went into pub. Guys were playing on the pool table. They finished and went to the bar so I racked them up. One guy comes back and says "winner stays on"....after a few moment and me ending with "**** off or this cue will go up your ass...I dont play winner stays on" I turned round to see a MASSIVE sign (it was very big) saying ...
"House Rules: Winner Stays On"

"I agree...you're totally wasted MF."
As some members will remember. Two years ago I appeared on a sattelite tv show about table football. 13 Episodes worth.
They showed three and then cancelled it.
