Irrelevant except for gas exports to Europe. This is the right time of year. Isolate them from international financial services. Stop MasterCard and Visa. Then see if they will stop their incremental brinkmanship.Last edited by northernladyuk; 10 April 2018, 16:36. -
They are going to shock and awe Assad's friends and family list back to the stone age which will be good viewing. It should have been done 5 years ago.Comment

A year of oil and gas embargo would do itOriginally posted by jamesbrown View PostYep. A lot of people forget how economically irrelevant they are, and also that, even fettered, economic sanctions have worked. Ramp them up.Comment

That might not work out so well seeing as the 'friends' will hit back quite hard, they are not dealing with Saddam or Gadhafi this time. An attack on Syrian military = an attack on Russian military.Originally posted by minestrone View PostThey are going to shock and awe Assad's friends and family list back to the stone age which will be good viewing. If it kicks off you'll be viewing it first hand, we all will. Be careful what you wish for.
Something tells me they might be toning it down a bit:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-a8298616.htmlEarlier on Tuesday the Prime Minister sidestepped questions about whether Britain would be involved in any military action against Assad in the coming days during a visit to Cambridge.
But she added: “This attack that took place in Douma is a barbaric attack. "Obviously we are working urgently with our allies and partners to assess what has happened on the ground.
"If this is the responsibility of Assad's regime in Syria then it's yet another example of the brutality and brazen disregard for their people that they show
So we're now 'assessing' to see 'if' it was Assad. Even while The Donald Deploys Truman Carrier Strike Group And 7 Warships With Cruise Missiles To Mediterranean
Meahwhile Russia and the US have just blocked each others resolutions in UNSC on probe into alleged chemical incident in Syria (standard)..."Is someone you don't like allowed to say something you don't like? If that is the case then we have free speech."- Elon MuskComment
