Actually was looking at the stats from around the world, and obviously some parts of the world are much more dangerous to drive in than others.
For example, Greece, Portugal, Italy and Spain, South of France - all the nice, sunny, holiday destinations.
In that case flying and minimising your exposure to the roads would be very wise.
20 times more likely to die? That's a conservative estimate, it's probably much more.
    Hard Brexit now!

The better the driver, the safer a car is, whatever it is.
          That's unlikely to be you.
Less intelligent people more likely to have accidents, duh!

your previous response was funnier, often in life less is more

you should trust your instincts Sas, and have the confidence to stick with what first comes into your mind instead of reflecting and editing all the time

you'll be better off for it, in life too

Explains why you prefer to fly everywhere

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Out of curiosity, what does happen?

I was thinking of driving via France to Northern Italy in the summer.
