Time in the market beats trying to time the market, every time. So many studies on this, I don't understand these "having a punt on this one share" mentality. If you are going to punt £10K, buy some crypto, because although you might lose £10K, you might make £1M in under a year. Buying some tulipty single stock is likely to end badly.

80% of my shares are long-term holds. Punts are pocket money. Crypto is for backwoods conspiracy theorists and low-density zoomers. There is zero underlying value; it is merely a consensual hallucination. HTH.

Even if you accrue a million cryptotwaddles and convert them back to "fiat", you can't spend the gains on anything serious because they're rightly viewed as a scam and no intermediary that needs to care about money laundering will go anywhere near you.
