GBP goes up and down. Imagine the prices of food from around the world without the tariffs from the EU. Imagine the extra competition when countries can compete on a level playing field with the EU.

So you are saying green beans from Kenya, avocados from South America and bananas from various countries near the equator are expensive at the moment?

They aren't the supermarkets are ripping us off.

Least after Brexit we get to eat mis-shaped fruit and veg again which the supermarkets refuse to sell to us for no other reason then because they can.

But with a No-deal it will go down and as it does, these imported products will go up.

I am dubious about this tariff free import business. Is there any policy statement to say it will happen? UK farmers won't like it, and hey have clout with the Tories and DUP.

pound falling again and wait until WTO rules come in imported food will go up by 20% (and Uk grown food will also go up as therewon't be any Eastern Europeans anymore who will do the the harvesting/butchering)
