Personally - I'm partial to works by Rembrandt and the likes of Caravaggio from the Baroque period, also like peaces in the neoclassical style. But I've got a discerning "pallet".

Any painting is good as long as the numbers are painted in with the right colour.

Nothing wrong with that, but I think people should stretch themselves a little when it comes to modern art. It's supposed to make you think.

It's all very well sitting back and admiring Caravaggio's use of chiaroscuro, but the meaning in the work is fairly obvious. It's luscious, but doesn't really make you think about anything much.

Modern art has its fair share of charlatans and idiots (esp. the YBAs) but it has been making people think since old Duchamp put a urinal on display and called it a fountain.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

I agree - art should be used as a means to make one think, I also believe it should rouse the other senses too.

WIth modern art you can tell the frauds, they are the ones who come up withthe brief after creating the work.

I really like the tate modern, it's just a matter of taste I suppose.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Well, a (very rare) fully functioning urinal from Slough Central station should suffice then.
If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.

The Tate Modern is one of the best galleries in the world. Some amazing stuff there.

I expect you'd like to look at some nice 18th C. paintings of horses and trees and stuff. Or that nice lady with the green face that used to hang over your mum's mantlepiece.
There were some morons wandering around thinking sleds coming out of a VW campervan was somehow 'art' & no doubt that may appeal to someone of limited intelligence such as yourself
It would seem that there are many like you who cannot form an objective judgement - see emperor’s new clothes

Or perhaps you just like sliding down tubular slides for your art?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

I presume that you are changing the tapes at JP Morgan across the bridge from the Tate then?
You presume wrongly - is it a position you aspire to?

                    Oh give it up!

You are the one who is clearly of 'limited intelligence'.

What the feck did you expect to see at a 'Modern Art' gallery?
