Started new contract a couple of weeks ago and am lucky enough to be sitting opposite a lovely woman who coughed in my direction for over a week. So here I am.

Are they a permie? I hate it when sick permies struggle in to work thinking that they are "a trouper" when what they are actually doing is potentially costing me money if I end up getting what they have.
Permies get paid days off sick FFS. I wish they would stay at home.
Proper contractors don't get ill. I don't know why that is, but it's true. I can go years without a day off when I'm on the job, but as soon as I'm out, I'm guaranteed to get wiped out by every lurgy under the sun.
